Inventory Supervisor

Contract: Open-ended

Hours: Approx. 30 hours per week

4–5 shifts, including weekends as required.

About the Role

We are looking for an organised and proactive Inventory Supervisor to take responsibility for the day-to-day inventory function across Black Moon Botanica.

This role is responsible for ensuring stock is received, processed, stored and distributed accurately across our physical and online stores. You will oversee inventory processes, coordinate deliveries, maintain accurate stock records, support the Inventory Assistant and ensure our Shopify inventory remains reliable.

This is a hands-on operational role suited to someone who enjoys organisation, problem-solving and improving systems. The role involves both administrative and practical stockroom responsibilities, including receiving deliveries, organising stock storage areas and supporting stock movement between locations. This role involves regular physical activity, including lifting and carrying boxes. Applicants should be comfortable carrying out these duties safely and in accordance with Health & Safety procedures. 

While you will take ownership of the day-to-day inventory function, strategic decisions and wider business operations remain the responsibility of the Business Owners and HR & Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day inventory operations across locations.

- Receive, check and process all stock deliveries.

- Maintain accurate inventory records within Shopify, including stock quantities, product information and location tracking.

- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, shortages and inventory issues.

- Coordinate stock transfers between locations.

- Maintain an organised and efficient stockroom.

- Carry out stock counts and support stock takes, helping maintain reliable inventory records.

- Support product launches, seasonal collections and business priorities through effective stock preparation and organisation.

- Support and guide the Inventory Assistant.

- Communicate inventory updates and operational issues.

About You

-  You MUST have recent 2+ years experience working in inventory, stock control, warehouse, or retail stockroom operations.

- Physically able to carry out the requirements of a busy inventory environment, including lifting, carrying and moving boxes and stock items safely, and comfortable with a hands-on role involving regular movement and organisation of stock.

- Experience managing stock processes and maintaining accurate inventory records.

- Experience using inventory or retail management software (Shopify experience would be an advantage).

- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.

- Confident prioritising workload, solving problems and working independently.

- Enjoys improving systems and finding more efficient ways of working.

- Good IT skills and comfortable learning new systems.

- Shares the values of Black Moon Botanica and happy representing the business professionally.
