Shipping & Orders
Our products are handmade, packed and shipped from our shop in Edinburgh. We aim to have your order shipped within 2-4 business days, however we are a small, independent business, so please bear with us, especially during busy periods.
This is our UK website and from our Edinburgh location we ship throughout the UK only. Our Amsterdam location deals with international deliveries, including Europe, North America and Australia. If we are able to ship to your location, you will see the option for your country at checkout on our international online shop. If it is not listed, then we cannot currently ship there.Â
It is not possible or affordable for us to have all products available in both locations, and there are several reasons for this. Firstly, all of our own-brand products are made by hand, by the owners. This is a time-consuming process but one that we take very seriously as a small, independent business. Secondly, there are different regulations in place within the EU that limits our ability to release certain products onto the European market. However, we do hope to gradually add more products to the international range over time.
We try to keep good stock levels on all of our products, but sometimes this is not possible and we can be out of stock for a while. This can be due to supply chain problems in securing ingredients, or the small, independent creators we work with having fulfilment issues. You can be notified when a product comes back into stock by signing up for notifications on the product page.Â
Information on our return policy and refunds.
We hope that you are happy with your purchase, but if there is a problem with your order, please email us first of all at onlinebmb@gmail.com with your order number and the reason for a return request.
Returns must come back to us in the same condition they were shipped: unused, in their original packaging, and in perfect condition ready for resale. We cannot accept returns of any cosmetic products for hygiene reasons. Returns are made at the customer’s expense, we cannot refund your return shipping costs. We recommend using a tracked shipping service with proof of shipping. All returns must be shipped back to us within 14 days of purchase. You can read our full Returns Policy here.
The best way to get discount codes and money off your orders is to sign up to the rewards programme on our online shop. This builds rewards points from every purchase you make, and can give significant discounts and rewards, like free shipping and money off, as you accumulate points.
We also offer multi-purchase discounts on products like our perfume oils, candles and wax melts. For example, all perfume oils are 6 for the price of 5 - just be sure to add 6 to the cart to get your automatic discount! The same deal applies for all wax melt bars.

We work with wholesale suppliers that support ethical and sustainable practices, wherever possible. Here’s are the practices in place with one of the family-owned crystal suppliers that we work with:
We have always worked so hard to establish relationships with family-owned mines and other sources who are cautious and careful when mining. Those who know how powerful crystal energies are, understand why it is vital to respect the people and grounds from where they came. Although Crystals and minerals are not registered as Fair Trade Products, we try to ensure that the Crystals are mined under safe ethical conditions and that the workers are in a secure environment and receive fair substantial wages. We do not purchase goods from any company that employs people in unfair or poor working conditions. We buy our goods from key sources and trusted vendors across the globe. The mines involved in Crystal digging vary from hand collected specimens from the surface to small hand dug pits where larger pieces are picked. Larger quarries are also specifically created to source gemstones. Once all pits are utilised they are then filled in and covered with the original soil which was removed.
All our Palo Santo products have been traditionally, legally and ethically gathered and harvested. Traditionally, a Palo Santo tree lasts for around 80 years and the wood is only used once the tree has been dead for 4-10 years (when the tree is alive, the scent is completely devoid in the wood). It is only once the wood has been untouched where it has grown that it will then create its exceptional properties. All trees that have been used are harvested through a sustainable and natural process. Our supplier has been working directly with the same family in Ecuador for over 11 years to obtain the Palo Santo raw materials. They have worked directly with the ministry of forest and government agencies on reforestation projects including putting back over 100,000 trees into the dry tropical forest for the last 20 years. They only purchase wood from independent local collectors that find naturally dead trees that have been sitting on the forest floor for over 4 years.
Tarot and oracle decks are both tools for divination and self-reflection, but they differ in structure and approach. Tarot decks follow a standardised format with 78 cards divided into the Major and Minor Arcana, each with specific symbolism and meanings. This structure has been consistent since the 15th century, making tarot ideal for detailed and layered readings. Oracle decks, on the other hand, are more flexible and vary in size, theme, and structure. They are not bound by a traditional system, allowing creators to design decks that focus on specific topics, like herbology or goddesses.
Tarot often requires more study and practice to master its rich symbolism, making it a great choice for complex readings and long-term spiritual growth. Oracle decks are usually more intuitive and straightforward, offering direct messages and guidance that are easy for beginners to use. While tarot readings are more structured and detailed, oracle decks are adaptable and often used for quick insights or daily inspiration. Many practitioners use both tools, as they complement each other and cater to different needs.
While choosing the “best” deck depends on your preferences, here are some suggestions to guide you:
1. Rider-Waite-Smith Deck (RWS)
The Rider-Waite-Smith tarot deck is the most recommended for beginners. Its imagery is rich in symbolism, and most tarot books and resources are based on this deck’s system. It’s easy to learn from, and offers clear illustrations that make interpreting the cards straightforward.
2. Modern Takes on RWS
If the classic Rider-Waite-Smith artwork doesn’t resonate with you, there are many modern adaptations that retain the traditional symbolism but offer updated or diverse art styles. Examples include:
• The Art Nouveau Tarot: A beautiful, vibrant take on the Rider-Waite-Smith deck with an art nouveau vibe.
• The Morgan Greer Tarot: Magical imagery presented in deep, saturated colours.
3. Themed or Artistic Decks
If you’re drawn to a specific aesthetic, culture, or theme, there are countless tarot decks tailored to different interests. For example:
• Prisma Visions Tarot: Beautiful impressionistic, surreal artistic-style deck.
• Marigold Tarot: References from anatomy, nature and distinctly Punjabi imagery.
4. Buy a beginner-friendly guide book
If you’re new to tarot, a detailed guidebook can help you learn the meanings of the cards and develop your reading skills. We highly recommend The Modern Witchcraft Guide to Tarot.
Guidance on common spiritual questions and practices, from tarot deck superstitions to witchcraft.
No, it is not bad luck to buy your own tarot deck. This is a myth that has circulated recently, but with no real basis. The idea likely originated from folklore or superstition, suggesting that a tarot deck should be passed down and gifted to you to maintain its magick or energy. However, most tarot readers agree that choosing and purchasing your own deck can be a meaningful and empowering experience, as it allows you to connect with a deck that resonates with your personal energy and preferences. Ultimately, what matters most is your intention and how you use the deck, not how you acquire it.
Getting started with witchcraft is a deeply personal journey, and there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. Here are some general steps to help you begin:
1. Research and Learn:
Start by exploring the basics of witchcraft, including its history, traditions, and practices. Read books, listen to podcasts from trusted sources to understand the various paths, such as traditional witchcraft, green witchcraft, Wicca, etc. Learn about foundational concepts like energy work, the elements, lunar phases, and correspondences (e.g., herbs, crystals, colours).
2. Set Intentions:
Reflect on why you want to practice witchcraft. Are you seeking spiritual growth, connection with nature, or a way to focus your intentions? Having a clear sense of purpose will guide your practice.
3. Start small:
Begin with simple, accessible practices. This could include creating a daily meditation routine, learning about the energies of the moon, or journaling your thoughts and intentions. You might also start working with tools like candles, crystals, or herbs, focusing on their meanings and how they resonate with you.
4. Connect with Nature:
Witchcraft is often about aligning yourself with natural cycles. Spend time outdoors to connect with the seasons, observe the moon, and ground yourself in the earth’s energy.
5. Create an Altar Space:
Set up a small area where you can practice your craft. It can be as simple as a shelf with candles, crystals, and meaningful objects, or a full altar if that resonates with you.
6. Experiment and Develop Your Craft: Try simple spells, rituals, or divination practices like tarot or pendulum work. Start with intentions that feel authentic and personal to you. Over time, you’ll discover which practices resonate most and build your own path.
7. Join a Community:
If you feel called to connect with other like-minded people, we would recommend joining our active community on Patreon. Community can provide support, inspiration, and resources, as well as connection and real-life friendships based on shared interests.Â
Above all, witchcraft is about self-discovery and empowerment. Trust your intuition, move at your own pace, and remember that your practice is unique to you.
Hexing someone involves directing negative energy or intentions toward them to cause harm or misfortune. It’s a form of baneful magick and is not recommended. Many witches believe in the Law of Threefold Return or similar karmic principles, which suggests that any energy you send out - positive or negative - will return to you threefold. Even without the “threefold rule,” engaging in baneful magick can affect your energy and emotional state, as it often involves channeling anger, hatred, or resentment, which can linger and impact your well-being.
Instead of hexing, consider exploring options such as protection magick, boundary-setting, or cord-cutting rituals. These can help you deal with negative people or situations without invoking harm or risking unintended consequences. Ultimately, your actions in magick should align with your personal ethics and intentions, so reflect deeply on whether this step feels right for you. You can explore some these concepts in our Spellcrafting Workshop.
If you believe you’re cursed, the first step is to stay calm and avoid letting fear take over. Often, feelings of being cursed stem from negative energy, stress, or coincidences that can snowball into a sense of doom. Here’s what you can do to address the situation:
1. Protect and Ground Yourself
• Cleanse Your Energy: Perform a cleansing ritual to remove any negative energy. This can involve burning protective herbs like Palo Santo, Mugwort or Cedar, or taking a salt bath.
• Grounding: Spend time in nature or use grounding products such as Druid Oak Mist Spray or Witch Wood perfume oil.Â
2. Create Protective Barriers
• Carry or wear protective crystals like black tourmaline, obsidian, or hematite to shield yourself from negativity.
• Set up wards around your home, such as placing protective symbols or crystals near doors and windows, using salt or Protection Ritual Blend, or visualising your space surrounded by an impenetrable barrier.
3. Reflect on the Source
• Consider if there’s a specific person or event that might have directed negative energy toward you. Reflecting on this can help you understand if the feeling of being cursed is tied to unresolved emotions, conflicts, or fears.
Remember, curses often derive power from belief and fear. By taking proactive steps to cleanse and protect yourself, you can reclaim your sense of peace and well-being.
