About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and knowledgeable Sales Assistant to help deliver an exceptional customer experience across our retail stores.

This is a hands-on retail role suited to someone who enjoys engaging with customers, maintaining high shop-floor standards and contributing positively to a close-knit team. You will play an important role in creating the welcoming, calm and inspiring atmosphere that Black Moon Botanica is known for.

A genuine interest in witchcraft and alignment with the ethos of Black Moon Botanica is important. You should feel comfortable working within a witchcraft-rooted space and engaging with customers around spiritual and ritual topics in a respectful and confident way.

A working knowledge of at least some areas such as witchcraft, astrology, herbalism, tarot or crystals is expected, together with a willingness to continue learning.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide warm, knowledgeable customer service and product guidance.

- Process sales accurately and contribute to shop sales.

- Maintain clean, organised and visually appealing shop floors.

- Replenish stock, assist with deliveries and stock counts.

- Follow opening, closing, health and safety procedures.

- Work collaboratively with the team and communicate operational issues to management.

Who We're Looking For

You will:

- Have recent 2 + years experience working in a busy retail environment.

- Have excellent communication and customer service skills.

- Be organised, reliable and able to work well as part of a team.

- Be confident learning about our products and sharing that knowledge with customers.

- Have strong attention to detail and take pride in maintaining high standards.

- Hold a genuine, lived interest in witchcraft, herbalism, ritual practice or aligned spiritual paths.

- Feel aligned with Black Moon Botanica's values and comfortable representing them publicly.

What We Offer

This role is offered at £13.50 per hour (Real Living Wage Employer), with contracted hours agreed on appointment. Staff receive a 20% discount across all products, along with access to selected workshops and learning resources.
