About the Role

We are looking for an organised and reliable Inventory Assistant with previous stockroom or inventory experience to support the day-to-day running of Black Moon Botanica’s inventory operations.

Working closely with the Inventory Supervisor, this role will assist with receiving, processing, organising and maintaining stock across the business. You will help ensure inventory areas remain accurate, organised and efficient, supporting the smooth movement of products between our inventory location shops.

This is a hands-on operational role suited to someone who enjoys practical tasks, organisation and working as part of a small team. The role requires strong attention to detail, good IT skills and the ability to follow established systems and procedures. This is a stockroom-based role involving regular movement of stock, including receiving deliveries, lifting and carrying boxes, organising storage areas and preparing stock for distribution. Applicants should be comfortable carrying out these duties safely and in line with Health & Safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in receiving, checking and processing deliveries.

- Prepare and move stock for shops and online orders.

- Assist with barcoding, labelling and stock preparation.

- Help maintain accurate stock records and assist with stock counts and transfers.

- Update Shopify inventory and report stock discrepancies or system issues.

- Support stock deliveries and replenishment at our Edinburgh shops when required.

- Maintain clean, organised and safe inventory areas.

- Follow stock handling, Health & Safety and company procedures.

Who We’re Looking For

- Previous stockroom, warehouse, inventory or retail operations experience.

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

- Comfortable using computer and inventory systems.

- Able to work independently, follow procedures and manage practical tasks efficiently.

- Physically able to safely lift, carry and move stock and deliveries.

- Reliable, organised and professional, with an interest in the values of Black Moon Botanica.

What We Offer

This role is offered at £13.50 per hour, based on approximately 25 hours per week across 4–5 shifts, including weekends as required. Staff receive a 20% discount across all products.
