All of our retreats take place at Boghall House, a beautiful Edwardian Manor in Milngavie, just 15 minutes outside of Glasgow. Boghall House is our home, and the house has been renovated and stylishly redecorated, with a nod to the Black Moon Botanica aesthetic. Between the atmospheric lounge with fireplace, and the causal foyer with piano, we have the ideal space to relax and connect. The delicious menu will be served in the large, modern kitchen and its comfortable dining room. This magical house is also home, to our black cat, Salem, who will give you. warm welcome.

Beltane Day Retreat

Brooke of Black Moon Botanica and Laura of Nymeria Bloom invite you to join us to celebrate Beltane and the start of Summer with this full day retreat at Boghall House.
We have a magickal day filled with crafting, herbology, cacao ceremony and a deeply nourishing guided meditation. We will craft beautiful flower crowns together, under the guidance of Laura, to wear for your Beltane festivities or to adorn your altar. We’ll share in a Beltane feast for lunch, and spend the day preparing for the start of Summer and the turning of the wheel. The day will end with ritual together around the bonfire. All of your crafts and potions that you make will be yours to take home with you, and all activities and lunch are included.

Herbology For Ritual & Magick – A Herbology Mini Retreat

Join me for two full days of Herbology for Ritual & Magick! This mini retreat is ideal for both beginners and intermediate students of herbology. If you have an interest in working with plant magick and making herbal blends and potions, then this retreat is for you.
We will explore the witches cabinet of herbs, taking a detailed look at around 15 herbs that can form the basis of your own herbal apothecary. We’ll spend some time in ritual, connecting to the energetics of certain herbs and working on finding your ‘patron herb’. We’ll look at different types of herbal preparations, including infusions, ointments, tinctures and elixirs, and we’ll make several of them together, with your creations yours to take home at the end of the weekend. We’ll discuss creating personal rituals and spellcraft with plants, incorporating astrology and crystals that compliment your herbal blends.
No previous experience is necessary, but some basic understanding of spellcraft or ritual would be helpful.

Witches New Year – A Samhain Retreat

The first sabbat in the wheel of the year, Samhain, is also known as Witches New Year. With the harvest over, we descend into the darkness of winter, the Crone phase of the year, and the time of magick and shadow work.
Join me for three days as we embrace the turn of the wheel and use the enveloping darkness to deep-dive into the realms of subconscious and shadow. Together we’ll explore the old ways of our ancestors, grounded in nature by day and around the hearth by nightfall. We’ll craft candles and potions, we’ll explore grimoire and altar creations, and weave magick together. This retreat will serve as a safe container to start exploring your shadow self, through a personal astrology reading. We’ll connect to the elements in the ancient woods nearby, and develop practices such as the art of hedge riding, to carry you through the winter months. We’ll also take part in a beautiful cacao ceremony, with a nourishing, restorative practice.
